Sharon’s love for cooking bloomed early—at just six years old, she prepared her very first meal alongside her great-grandmother, sparking a lifelong passion for food, flavor, and family. Over the years, she didn’t just master the kitchen—she infused it with magic. 

And when it came to desserts, Sharon’s true artistry came to life.

Her secret? Good ingredients = good cakes.  The magic is in the mix.

Sharon’s Italian Cream Cake, Carrot Cake, and Cream Cheese Pound Cake were legendary in their own right. Her Red Velvet was a rare gem. But the crown jewel—the one that made her name synonymous with greatness—was her celebrated German Sweet Chocolate Cake. Made only with the highest quality ingredients, this decadent delight is layered with rich chocolate and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting kissed with vanilla. It’s confection perfection. And it remains the signature creation of Sharon a Piece of Cake—because it’s simply unforgettable.

Though Sharon dreamed of opening her own bakery, she earned her heavenly wings in the spring of 2011 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Thankfully, she passed down her passion, her recipes, and her magic to her daughter, Misha. Today, Sharon’s dream lives on—in every cake we make.
